Logo, Graphic Design, Visual Brand Identity, and Web Assets

The International Association for Plant Biotechnology (IAPB) is the premier global professional organization dedicated to advancing plant biotechnology. With a vibrant membership that includes researchers, academics, and industry professionals, the IAPB vigorously advocates for the interests of the global plant biotechnology community.

When creating the logo and visual brand identity with Arcana Creative, our challenges included keeping it in a modern, simplistic style that showcased IAPB’s professional standing at the forefront of the plant biotechnology science community while also having an organic feel that complemented their main subject of study.

Molly, the Creative Director, and I explored different possibilities for creating a logo that showcases plant and scientific elements. While making simple geometric leaf shapes, we noticed they started to resemble a DNA strand, which was a perfect combo!

New colour, typography, and overall aesthetic gave IAPB a recognizable visual identity and made it known as the leading expert in their field of study.
